Commuter Affairs

Commuters make up the largest population of students at Duquesne in terms of overall enrollment. Any undergraduate or graduate student who does not live in University-owned housing is considered a commuter student.
Our students commute from their permanent residence or from their local residence in areas such as South Side, Mt. Washington and Uptown. Duquesne University is unique in that it has an entire office and space dedicated to assisting its large and diverse commuter population.

Helping Students Feel at Home

The Office of Commuter Affairs works diligently to help students feel at home and part of the Duquesne family. Our staff strives to ensure that students excel both academically and socially by providing services, programs and facilities to meet their needs. This includes assisting students in seeking out help through academic resources, off-campus housing information and resources related to commuting.

Off-Campus Housing Information

Many upperclassmen choose to live in one of the Pittsburgh neighborhoods surrounding Duquesne's campus. Students find that living on their own comes with newly found opportunities and responsibilities. We remind students to always be responsible neighbors within their communities and to meet the Expectations of a Duquesne Student.
